March 2025, 31 Days Prayer and Fasting

Prayer connects us to God; Fasting disconnects us from our fleshly desires.”

As we begin this 31-day journey of prayer and fasting, I pray that you will experience a deeper craving for the beauty of the Lord. May His presence, grace, and favor overwhelm you as you seek his face and meditate on His promised Word.

 Pastor Canty,

Psalm 61: 1 “Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. 2) From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” (KJV)

Psalm 63: 1 “God—you are my God! I can’t get enough of you! I’ve worked up such hunger and thirst for God, traveling across dry and weary deserts. 2-4 So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open, drinking in your strength and glory. In your generous love I am really living at last! My lips brim praises like fountains. I bless you every time I take a breath; My arms wave like banners of praise to you.” (MSG)

B. The Daniel Fast – In this type of fast, you abstain from meat, sweets, and bread. This fast includes eating fruits, vegetables, nuts, and water. You establish the duration of your fast.

The next week do the partial fast for a week, etc. Also, consider giving up TV time, social media, and at least one food item during your 31 days of fasting.
